Today I would like to test what was causing the huge problems from CAT Fibre Optic connected from Software Park Phuket. Therefore we run tests now and than before lunch when the workshop which takes place here at the moment with about 30 - 40 people is in progress. The ISP is now called "dynamicIP for Broadband" whatever this or who it is! We have no idea!

FiberOptic CAT 6/3/2010 since Monday

Since Monday the TOT Fiber Optic Line (Guest) is down nearly every 2 Minutes. We receive lots of failures, Latency Errors and Download Test errors. It seems that the Fibre Optic isn't capable to work with a high amount of traffic from different computers.

we can call the speedtest.net site but we can't get any results for the Thailand Connection to Bangkok. One time we had a ping with 32ms to Bangkok.

The TOT Fibre Optic was working much more reliable we can say from the moment right now. CAT Fibre Optic what it seems to be now we can't even test and loose with our sites very often the connection. Hmm I hope this get better soon.

Today I want to compare the internet connections we have here at software Park, It is a Saturday morning and only a few people are working right now. So lets go!

Cat Telecom - WiFi 54Kb Connection for companies working in Software Park. This connection gets connected to the load balanced 2Mbps/2Mbps, 4Mbps/1Mbps Software Park LAN Main Network based on a CAT Line.


Next is the TOT FiberOptic connection provided for Guests in Software Park Phuket.


The CAT LAN Network provided at Software Park Phuket connects direct via CAT6 Cables to the Loadbalancer which is used also for the WiFi Connection.


With the CAT CDMA 2000 EVDO 2REV.A tested from our Office at Software Park Phuket we receive the following results.
